Description
TOPPAS – a fully automatic, certified belay and rappel device for professional training and belaying without a climbing partner. It is certified according to EN 341 type 1 and has an abseiling speed of approx. 1m/s. The suspension means consists of a 20 m steel cable. The device is very robust and the feed speed is slower than the SafeDown or Dyno. It is therefore not suitable for speed climbing but rather for very often used beginner routes in the climbing hall. With weather protection hood, it can also be operated outdoors. The minimum user weight is 20 kg.
The device must be inspected and the steel cable replaced at least once a year either by the manufacturer or KristallTurm®.
